Organic and inorganic depositions are critical flow assurance issues that impact oil and gas production. These depositions include paraffin/wax, scale, hydrates, asphaltene and etc. Either one of these depositions or a combination will cause decrease of oil production, downtime of operation and maintenance of facilities. Downtime of a single well can cause $1MM lost per day.

Wasteful chemical usage — excess chemical injection based on lab test results, that is off-site and not real-time. Chemical overcompensation to prevent/mitigate depositions generate wasteful usage of chemicals, high Opex for oil & gas production, and burden for downstream refining.

Huge labor cost — it is always a challenge to remotely monitor, measure and control facilities of production wells, it is even more difficult to access multiple wells in regional, national and global levels. Because of this obvious challenge, E&P companies have to spend a huge expense on sending people to work and provide services at different sites.
